Description I have at last finished the foreground character of my winter piece (though summer is on the way in Turkey at last, I was also planning to add a human character as well but I couldnt trust my self with human anotomy yet. this piece took me 1 and half month, hard work, working with bamboo tablet and photoshop,

I ve tried to give throughly worked and in depth surfaces and a realistic appearance. As a concept, there are elements of strong flight and bird composing the natural side, complemented with a rational, tech side mostly inspired by planes and motorcycles (KTM) I have used some photo images on the background and in some parts of the bird also.

and when I try to put this line of concept painting in an art style, I cannot find it easily, surely its not postmodernism thank god, but is it only entertainment design? What I really try to do is combine all the elements that I find aesthetic, inspiring and vital in life, in a coherent and artistic way. to create a flowing, fluid form pierced by rational planes that is nomadic and immanently ready to plunge upwards.

I read a quote from David Harvey s book belonging to Baudelaire defining an artist and its strong. He say;

someone who can concentrate his or her vision on ordinary subjects of city life, understand their fleeting qualities and yet extract from the passing moment all the suggestions of eternity it contains. The successful modern artist was one who could find the universal and the eternal, distil the bitter or heady flavor of the wine of life from the ephemeral, the fleeting forms of beauty in our day.

such strong words make me think I am not an artist, at least not in this sense, and as more and more technology such as photoshop, digital pen tablet or computer gets integrated, we become cut out or isolated from the people. making painting an indoor, isolated and secluded profession. anyway I will try to go out to mosque courtyards more often to draw.)

What a secret which is fooled me with the thumbnail view! I must admit, postmodernism is seriously that magical when we don't give a "proper" meaning to "identical" object on it. And you give me a very example on it.
