Vigil finally joins in with 's Deviant Universe project! I signed up for this ages ago, but haven't managed to fit it in until now.This months DU challenge is to draw the first chapter of his big summer blockbuster: Maximum Destruction!
Yes, the Deviant Universe is being invaded and only a few heroes are up to the challenge of saving the day from that sinister looking chap with the pointy hat.
This should be the first of four or five pages for this chapter, introducing Vigil to the storyline!

Of all people, I'd think you'd be wise enough not to enter another crossover like this before finishing a previous one! XD
As always, the art is spectacular. I especially enjoy whenever Vigil telekinetically dissects a mechanical construct such as a robotic arm, it really shows off your sense for intricate details. But I see that you did cheat a little at the Eiffel tower. XD
But good luck! I probably could have joined this, but the whole "shared universe" setting isn't something I'd want to get stuck in, I'm very greedy when it comes to creative control. XD

It's all Alex's fault! I joined in with this back when it looked like he was never going to finish Secret Wars - and then he posted about twenty pages in a day! Luckily this thing is only a few pages a month. And shared universes are easy for Vigil because she can travel between them!

Only one character I added to DU so very well planning on using him, which shouldn't come as a surprise that it's a character I haven't used before.

You're damn right I want to ... but I can't.
My current projects have to keep running and Viper's Colosseum kicks off this month, too, as you know. Next month the battles will start and I'll be quite busy then.
And it's not just two pages, this is just the beginning. The next couple of months it continues and I had to realize I can't take on another project of this magnitude at the moment

No insult - you're an art machine! I'm impressed! Of course, you're drawing quite a lot for the Colosseum, aren't you - so no doubt you've made the right choice. It's a shame though - but there's only so much time, isn't there.

Very nice page man, excellent way to bring Vigil into the fray! I love the red lighting in the city of Paris that you've made, gives a sense of desperation as the Cy-Droids tear their way through the earth. I don't think that robot knows what it is getting into against Vigil, though given the objectives of this months DU challenge, I fear it might have some form of trick up its sleeve
I might be able to join this, not certain yet. Seeing the entrants so far is certainly giving me muse to do so, I'm just not sure my resources will be enough to enter this epic challenge

What can I say, I'm a continuity nut! The chance to play with another epic crossover was too good to turn down! And IO figured since Vigil can pretty much go anywhere, it might be fun to drop a landmark into the background to illustrate the world-wide nature of the crisis. I feel a little bad for cheating with the Eiffel Tower there, but what the hell!

It is! The Cy-droids are a nice design aren't they - all credit to *mja42x there. I suspect we'll be seeing quite a lot more of them before the end of the summer
