Yeah...I didn't like my first idea. But instead of tossing it I turned it into something else:
PICKLED PUNKS

Germane’s curiosity with Reiner becomes a matter of survival after she finds herself trapped by Briners; chemical compounds and extremophiles warped (or shaped) by the high temperatures of the Thermal pool. The good news is that Rhenium is friendly enough to lend a hand (provided he can avoid sparring with the Sulfur compounds long enough to get her out of harms way before he reverts to an acid himself)

Since I have so many unused character designs I thought I'd try something funny with DROP---I like action figures, and these squat, chunky element designs remind me of old-school MASTERS figures. toy lines like HE- MAN (and it's many knock-offs) were infamous for having 1 body mold for all of the male figures, the only difference being accessories and skin colors

Since Germane and Reiner are located in a thermal pool the "Punks" are all minerals located in and around hot springs. Since the heat can also come from radioisotopes I could include common actinides, radium, and polonium. I guess you could say that any concepts I can't see myself using long term can be redesigned into "Punks"

As for Reiner, CHAOSREIGN is what he looks like when converted into Perrhenic acid. I'll post his original design a little later 83
