The prong covered by the ball can also be used to rip a long running stitch. Once you open a little space with the sharp prong, you can slip the ball prong under and slide it along the seam, popping threads as you go. This can be much faster than picking each individual stitch. Just so you know!

I had no idea how to use my stupid needle threader but this was really helpful!! Now I'll know how to use the darn thing!
