Description
Can you see the shape of the dove? >u< (There are 2)I made a bird shape out of foam and painted around it.
Sadly, the effect wasn't as sharp as I would like it. OTL
Tools: watercolour, black BiC pen for lining, 300gsm 5x7" paper

I see the dove a little bit but it's hard to make out. The swirl of her scarf really unites the picture from one end to the other. Your coloring always reminds me of looking through color glass.

love the colours... and the scarf gives a really nice flow of movement.
as for the effect you wanted for the doves, i suggest you get yourself a bottle of masking fluid. it works the same as a masking tape but in liquid form. just apply it on the paper, let it dry, then you can paint over it. once the paint dries, just gently scrape/rub the masking off and you'll have a nice clean blank area. but make sure that you wash the brush immediately after you've applied the masking fluid. coz it's rubber based, it'll dry and harden the brush and you can't wash it off then.
