Description I really like living in Melbourne. It's a great city with a lot of charm, and though I don't get a chance to get out much, if I can, I always like to see it at dawn.

There's this great moment where the buildings are just waking up, flourecent eyes peeking from behind lowered shades. The air is clean and crisp and the streets are calm.
And then five minutes later you look up and their skin is bathed in orange and pink.
The steady oncoming of dawn is less like a cinematic display and more like a long stretch out of bed. It feels good.
Your city sits in the near horizon, just waking up to another new day, another new city.

It's...really nice.

I spent about 10 minutes putting colour into this before I realised I liked it better as a sketch. I might render it one day, but for today it's new and sketchy.

I personally think this looks great as a black and white sketch with the one detailed eyeball. It makes me feel like the world looks drab, but in your eyes it’s beautiful and majestic. Also there’s that adorable mysterious smile which I think is great. I wish I lived in a place with that sort of vibe. I'm stuck in a lazy town in the middle of Nowhere, America.

I started rendering the rest of the picture, but stopped after 20 minutes and realized it was ruining that feeling. I'm glad you get so much out of the lack of details

Brisbane doesn't have its moments?

Brisbane is okay.. It has the clubs and usual stuff.

But i guess living here for 10+ years i just have too many bad memories and strive to go somewhere else, a place Of witch i have little knowledge about and i yearn to just explore the unknown. Melbourne fits that bill for me. ^U^

As much as I'm not exactly a fan of Houston, I do get that feeling sometimes when looking out into the bay. Sometimes looks incredible at dusk, which to me feels more like the beginning of the day. Evening here is about late morning in Melbourne; funny how these things sorta sync up.

it's very beautiful. I know the feeling of watching buildings light up with the auburn glow of daybreak. Although on the island where I live, it's more often than not trees and ocean that are lit up by the glow of dawn, not any less beautiful I might add.

! Glad to see some (AWESOME) art from you again! And funny that I wake up to see this in the morning where I'm snowed and clouded in. But man, I love the bits of detail (I think its mostly the way the lights and shadows are blending) that you've got while still having the sketchy look. Awesome job Kraden.

And as for your towers of orange and pink my view is a bit different but can be pretty stunning as well. Living up in the mountains I look down out over the flat lands. But that isn't necessarily what makes the view awesome. Its when the clouds come and rise up, higher than the mountains, but they stay over the flat lands. The sunrise on those mornings is breathtaking as you can see the sun, clear skies, and an orange and pink sea sitting higher than your house!
