I recently commissioned , and will soon be sending her up the money via post (as she has no online paypal or bank account. Also it's a huge bother to change currency, why is that?).She's been a long long time watcher of my works, and also a very avid and thoughtful commenter. Early in my DA days I drew these for her and meant to finish them, but never had a proper concept of what the image should be.

[Sara's Stroll] So Over the past fortnight I've been working slowly on this A3 scene to send up. Enjoy Sara!

ooh, quite nifty : 3, the compasition is really nice in this piece, and the general elements are very solid.
the washed-out colours are also very nice and create a sweet atmosphere.
a due have one or two critz though, but cuz this is a special gifty, i'd wanna know if you where after critz or not first X'3

Although if it's a suggestion about the pallete or tones I had very little traditional media to work with, and only 3 shades of gray (10% cool, 10% warm, 30% cool, black, & Pencils [about 12 colors])

X'D naw, in this case the washed-out pastel sorta colours looks really nice. my beef this time around X'D...is that some of the buildings look kinda like milk cartonz X'D this is something i used to do alot when i was younger ( here is a pretty good example [link] ), it's always a good idea to look up some picz of citys and stuff to get a better idea of how buildings look :3 i sueda have alot of probelms cuz i lived in a small city and did see many big buildings, how is camberra for that sorta thing can you just peak out the window?
anyhow, it's a nifty pic, and obviously alot of effort when into lt :3

In the CBD the tallest building is about 30 stories and looks like a milk carton

i think you should be more careful with the colouring, i imagine some of it was lost in the scanning process, which is why its important to take great care in colouring with pencils and markers. pencils especially, like with pencils you have to slowly build up even colour.

i reccomend a bunch of faber castells to gte you started, i like them a lot, the ones ive usedhav ealways had really nice smooth leads.

I seen this in the scraps befor, but the coloring gived the life to it realy. Hehe. So you have to change currency and it bothers you. XD I just keeping a lecture of currencys at collage. If ya interested visit me on Thuesday XD.

I lecture at the Kaposvar Universty tommorow at 10:30 on 111 clasroom with 3 of my group mates about that stuff to be specific.
Yeah I know scanners. I have a lot of class room doodles what came out preaty great just the scanner see's the other side of the paper to and it all massed up cuz I have to write somewhere to.
