In Aurora Story Arc, after Kirby and Tiff have a daugther Aurora, Cackletta returns and killed Knuckle Joe.Mario burst out of anger after he saw Cackletta killed Knuckle Joe and knew Cackletta returns for her bloody revenge.
And also, Luigi fight Fawful to lure him from Mario.

EDIT: I decided Knuckle is killed by Cackletta, not Princess Daisy.
But one kiss of Silica, and Knuckle Joe is revived again...

Also I thought you said Aurora was ment to be deliverd to Kirby and Tiff by the Stork after they showed deep love to each other and made a wish which was sent to the Fountain of Life. Does that mean it's been change of plan?
