Kel crouched down by the water. He had finally found a nice quiet cove where he could collect his thoughts. He'd angrily stormed out of the den he shared with Vegrail, leader of the Bloodborn faction. Vegrail, who also happened to be his father - a father he regularly butted heads with.

He could feel his brother Loexvi still seething. He desperately wanted to come to blows with his father, but it was a useless endeavor. Vegrail had many millennia more experience in fighting that either Kel or Loexvi had - it would have been a very one sided fight. And so Kel relaxed against the cool stone, heaving an exasperated breath.

This place was nice. It was a fairly tropical place. Lots of beaches and interesting flora to look at. Unfortunately, soon after jumping here from his own home plane he discovered that this place was filled with other creatures. Little mocha-skinned humanoids littered the place alongside reptilian creatures about his size. All of them colorful, all of them content - and all of them chattering. Voices grated agains the Dy'kletiun's ears as he swiftly made his way away from the more populated areas. He had hoped none of the creatures had seen him.

As he continued to look into the water, he quickly realized a pale shape was swiftly coming up from the purple depths. Kel quickly scrambled to his feet as the head of one of those reptilian creatures broke the surface of the water.
"Hello." it said. Somehow, it knew the language of his home plane, though it was heavily accented. It raised a pair of gold and white wings, water quickly sliding off of the sleek scales.
"Uhm, hello." Kel replied. It was a male as far as Kel could tell from its voice.
"I saw you appear over by Heronsgrove." the newcomer said without any further greeting, "I haven't seen any of you here on Totchli in a long time. My parents were fairly good friends with one of you guys. A big feathered guy. Vogril was his name I think."
"Vegrail." Kel said ruefully.
"Yeah, him." the creature blinked sapphire eyes at him. "My name is Jonathan by the by."
Kel studied Jonathan. He felt Loexvi look over the newcomer also, his attention diverted away from his anger. "Kel." He felt his skin tingle as his brother made himself known. "And I am Loexvi."
Jonathan's eyes widened, but not in alarm like he expected. Those deep blue eyes were filled with wonder. "Nice to meet you both. Do that again?"
Kel shifted back into himself, surprised at the positive feedback. "You're not alarmed?" Loexvi's patterning usually startled others at the very least. They had never come across someone who reacted in such a positive way.
"No! That was amazing!" Jonathan's crest rose. "Again!"
Kel felt the small beginnings of a lopsided smile tug at the corner of his mouth. "Alright."
