I actually would have prefered Nuka as a kind and caring big brother.

Wondr if Nuka could have taken Simba in a straight up fight, I always wondered about that personally. Sure Nuka was crazy and driven, but Simba was bigger and healthier than I'm sure Nuka was.

Nuka wouldn't have stood a chance against Simba on his own without the proper food to develop, no matter what age you take Nuka at. At least not in a 1 v 1 on steady ground when Simba hasn't yet been wounded. Especially at the age in this picture. He was only a teenager at best then and severely malnourished. Even Kovu when he was ready to attack Simba would have struggled to take him on alone as Kovu was not yet at his full strength. But he was close enough and fed well enough to pose a threat to Simba when the time came had he gone through with it. Realistically Kovu would have had to attack more then once to finish off Simba or with help of his pride.Β

Yeah but Zira? One on one I'd wager she could of taken Simba, she was strong fast and had the sort of mind needed, look how well her lionesses worked together? Shame we didn't see more of Zira fight or Nuka fight for that matter, could of been interesting to see Nuka try to take matters into his own paws sooner.

She could certainly do Simba quite some damage. Especially if protecting Kovu. In this scene she was prepared for a full on fight with Simba until the rest of the pride showed up. Simba would have had his mane to protect him but by the end of the movie being already injured it certainly would have evened things out a bit more in Ziras' favour had Kiara and Kovu not stopped the fight. Based on the advice Zira gave to the pride "go for the eyes, break his jaw" etc etc, if she managed to blind Simba early on in the fight then Simba wouldn't stand a chance. Which I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to do that. There's the possibility they'd end up killing each other from the wounds and no one truly winning. But if she can manage to inflict some serious wounds while not getting hit too badly herself then she'd win.
Of course Simba being the main character he's got all that extra plot armour to protect him

Yep, plus Zira having that strength that only a mad beast could possess on top of her own natural strength. However yes Plot Armour, cursed bloody plot armour, ruins all the fun every single time! Any who in that final battle it did seem that Zira's pride was much better trained that Simba's was, The Pridelanders were getting whooped, though Nala was fighting pretty dang well herself to be honest. Still Simba should of trained his pride better just in case someone like Zira reared their head, maybe after Zira he took that into consideration, or Kiera or Kovu did.
