Description
This was inspired by a fic that I read the other night called "Mischievous Kiss" [link] where Inuyasha secretly watches Kagome in her sleep and ends up kissing her. While the fic itself has a humorous end, I hung on to the feeling in the middle when he's contemplating his feelings towards her.I've never done a pic like this coloring-wise, and I'm happy with how it turned out. It'll probably be wallpaper soon.

awww man! I had wanted to to a story when I saw this picture. I was instantly inspired to do a one-shot... and then I read your summary to find out it has already been taken (its so hard to come up with original work nowadays)... I LOVE THE PICTURE THOUGH! Ooohhh...this is absolutely beautiful...then again, I've had a very healthy respect for your work, ever since you pop up on DA a few weeks ago. ^_^ There are so few people who convert anime to realism, and I've been addicted to beautiful renderings like this for a while...it really shows skill and knowledge of anatomy conversion, not to mention overall feel and familiarity with characters. Your grasp of emotion and composition are breathtaking, as well as being able to manipulate colors and shades to pull off the necessary ambiance. Gorgeous, GORGEOUS picture as always...this is definitely going into my favorites. ^_^ Thank you for sharing it with us!

I'm the author of "A Mischievous Kiss" and someone e-mailed me to let me know about your artwork. It is absolutely fantastic and just the image I had in mind when I pictured Inuyasha kissing Kagome in the dark. That is an absolutely gorgeous picture and I'm very honored and humbled that my story inspired this picture. ::HUGS::
Your other artwork is also very beautiful. I love the picture you have on your main page for "Golden Eyes." The color scheme is fantastic and really appeals to the designer in me. I'm also glad that you got everything with DeviantArt straightened out.

Oh, you're the author? I'm glad I was able to remember which fic it was from then. ^_^ I had read a whole bunch in one evening and they all got muddled together except for that one scene. I'm obviously a sucker for IY/K stuff, so I really loved that fic. Oddly enough your theories about IY's feelings towards Kikyou vs. Kagome are identical to the theories my mother and I have talked about many times. (Yes, I got her hooked on the series as well... lol)

::laugh:: I haven't even tried getting my mother involved. I insist on watching stuff subbed and I don't think she'd like that. I did get her to listen to the Rurouni Kenshin OVA soundtrack and she did like that.
