Clouds are made of candy and moon is made of cheese. Yup.But it's a different kind of cheese...it glows in the dark.
This is a little idea I've had since March because I wanted to draw Katie and Kaya (they have the prettiest hair I've seen
) and I had done a sketch on 11.04 but recently I re-drew it and finally finished it. I have so many unfinished drawings waiting for me XD. That's one thing I love in digital art. I can easily correct things if the sketch/drawing gets too old but in traditional art I have to start all over again if I've passed the inking stage.
Back to the drawing, I think you can guess how much fun I had drawing and colouring the hair but I also loved doing all those fur details on Kaya! ah sometimes I simply love spending time on fur patterns <3 They are both so cute
I love their designs!I have one more drawing to upload when I finish it before my exam break from deviantart...except if I change my mind
It's a traditional art piece and 60% of the time I never finish those because I start seeing mistakes and I stop liking the drawing....And I really need to stop drawing clouds, moons and stars all the time OTL

This piece of art is adorable. It really illustrates friendship with it's bright colours and emotions. Each character has so much identification and personality. And the idea of star cheese is so unique! I love both of them so much..makes me all warm n fuzzy inside

I love the idea, it's so cuet and sweet! XD The characters are nicely drawn and the background totally rules! The colouring is really pretty! And the chracter's poses are lovely! I like Kaya's expression , it's cute! Beautiful picture! And, as a little critique, I think might be a little too short compared to the rest of her body and Katie's left hand might be a little bit too long, but I'm not sure.
Nonetheless, fantastic job!

REALLY??? I think I did too, especially when I saw this one episode of wallace and gromit when they travelled to the moon, and Wallace took his crackers so he could slice some cheese from the moon and eat it with his crackers... lol I loved that episode...

I love seeing how you interpret my characters. You do such a lovely job! You did a fabulous job on Katie, you stayed true to her design. The hair is perfect. I love the shading you did on all the different white areas of her fur and hair. I like all the shading actually.
Now, Kaya was a surprise! But I love that you drew her too! She is so cute in this drawing! I love her expression. You did great on expressing her character. She looks so sweet!
Now for the background..I simply love it. I like the gradient in the sky and the colors you used. I want to eat the clouds!8D They look so good! And I love that Katie is holding a piece of the cheese moon. Haha! XD

I'm glad the surprise worked
I finished it faster than I was expecting too! Maybe because they are chibis and the shading went a lot faster, especially that I used the same shading as my other chibi drawing (except for the highlights part). I didn't really intend to make them chibi though but somehow they ended up like that XD
I'm glad that somebody noticed the gradients! I really love playing with colours and trying out things. Sai encouraged me in that a lot. It has a couple of water tools that work in a similar way as blur but it's more painting-like so now I can blend the colours. That's something I was always afraid of with photoshop and all my drawings turned out so moody ._. but now this has changed
It's good to know I managed to get Katie's and Kaya's hair right. I really love the way you draw their hair, it looks so pretty and I just had to try it out. During the drawing & colouring it was quite confusing specially with Kaya's. I really didn't know how to work on it XD

Ah I'm so sorry for this confusion! If it was an art trade I would tell you right away (and I usually mention it in the artist's comments anyway) You don't have to colour the sketch and everything. I'll be happy with it either way. I don't want you to have extra work because of this little confusion! >.<
