The oddest book I have ever read was The Common Law by Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. _ [ Justice Of The Supreme Court of The United States of American 1902 -1932]
It was actually most enlightening, but I saw into the the mind of Anglo Saxen Males Minds of the 19th Century _ he came from that era, yet advanced towards a more modern approach to the issues of free speech and individual rights.
Amazing the differences in the basic assumptions and conclusions about property and individual rights that he relates as preceding him..
What made it odd for me was that I never thought I'd understand a book like that_
Yet the man had managed to convey his meaning so precisely, I managed.
