Description Happy Halloween!!

How many of you were traumatized as a little kid by this dude (if you grew up in the 80s that is)? The "Boogieman" from the old Real Ghostbusters cartoon, would terrorize kids at night in their bedrooms. I was about 5 years old when I saw first saw the episode with him in it. He's... not as scary 26 years on (if you actually go look at an actual clip from the show, lol) but when I was 5 and he first showed up and made Egon shit a brick when Frank Welker's raspy voice came out of his mouth and said "I REMEMBER YOUUUUU". Never ever forgot that moment, freaked me the hell out as a kid

This is how "5 year old Me" remembers him. Far scarier than he actually was, lol.

Lol, I love how not moments after I leave a comment about how I remember the Boogeyman from ghostbusters, this shows up, Needless to say, yes, he messed me up a bit as a kid.

I was pretty surprised how creepy that episode still is after all these years. Another good one is the Sandman episode, we watched both of these when my friend snagged the DVDs.

Same here, I saw him and though "eh, not scary anymore". That is until he started talking and it proved just why it scared the crap out of me as a kid. The Sandman one was awesome, lots of great eps in that show

lol J. Michael Strazynski was the showrunner and he went with the "kids like to be scared" outlook for it. Same thing Roald Dahl did with his books, kids like stuff like that and JMS didn't want the series to be straight goofy, he wanted to blend scary with goofy, and it worked!

Wow, he looks GREAT! Exactly as I remember him from the show, and yet you've managed to put an even scarier tilt to his look; very nice. I can still remember his voice now; Frank Welker is such a talented man. XD

Happah Haluween to you too Even though visually he's not scary anymore, I just rewatch the "I REMEMBER YOU" scene on YouTube and Frank's voice is actually really still freaky as hell. Probably why it stuck with me.
