Freddy Krueger, from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984)The annual Halloween related art post, this year is Freddy Krueger, based on a scene from the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy utters this description of his glove before killing Tina and dragging her across the ceiling. Β Freaked the shit out of me as a kid, lol.
I always try to get a piece of artwork done in time for Halloween every year (mostly) so I did this a bit back and held on to it until this very day

Likenesses are a pain to do. It's weird because I can do monsters, machines and environments exactly like the ones I am copying from, but peoples faces ...NOPE!

The trick is just to find a few "stand out" aspects of the person's face, something notable as being "them" and if you can get those right the rest of the face doesn't have to look anything like them, lol. Β But the harder trick is to make said stand out aspects look right, and if they don't... Β well, they usually don't so I pull my hair out every time, lol
