Oh, this is interesting! (And the twins' comments in the description just seal the deal--they do make a good point, sometimes! I think favourite has to be Kei's comment under 2004--it so sounds like she's sassing you there!)
And yeah, I agree with you on wanting to go back to see just what my younger self was thinking... Some ideas that seem great at the time really don't work out later on. (Nao's gone under some design adjustment, now that I think about it. Since when she was first created she was supposed to be Arrow's older sis, I stuck her in differing shades of reds with a touch of black. Oh boy was I an idiot--I just cringe now, and her colour palette has switched to mainly blue and black with a touch of red. Now to translate that into an outfit for her... And I think Midori suffered from my poor colour choices--red and teal/turquoise/whatever do not go, especially when the rest of her is darker (ie blacks and greys). Whoops...)

Glad you found it so XD; I had fun drawing these up from my very old scribbles I still giggle at Katou's old name - trying to decipher the colors, though, was a challenge OTL Kei's comment under 2004 - yep, she was definitely sassing.
I have a feeling younger me would have had Kei be part of the Russian team, then defect to the Bladebreakers come tournament time and then beating him and Black Dranzer. I found tiny comic 'panels' on the same page as Kei's beta design. There was a (not well illustrated) Beybattle, and then closeups of Kai's shocked face, and Kei's triumphant one. That's one friendly rivalry that hasn't died out, though. Oh wow, sorry, Nao and Midori - but at least you learn as you go along, when it comes to color palette choices

I can imagine! And hee hee... I can tell she was sassing with her comment under early 2001--she has a point!
Mm, makes sense. It's kinda what we first do when creating OCs for a series such as this. And hee hee, she would have been doing the same as Kai, just in reverse! Oh joys... And I can tell--it's cute, though!
Yup. Fuyumi managed to get away with her colour palette staying the same--and she's been around nearly as long as Nao has, so I don't know what I did right with her but not with Nao or Midori... (Maeda has stayed the same, as well. Weird...)

I know that feeling--Midori is the most likely to sass (as is Maeda, now that I think about it...), which can get amusing sometimes... Although it isn't really appreciated all that much. Both tend to sass Fuyumi, for fairly obvious reasons.
Yeah. All part of their unpredictability... Fuyumi definitely has the brightest colour palette of all my OCs, which somehow works.

I have a feeling the sassiness is inherited, looking at Maeda and Midori together... To be fair, Fuyumi's "plans" often result in a little sass when others realise the faults, so she does deserve it on occasion.
Same boat here--watching either Midori or Maeda sass Fuyumi makes me laugh (often because it results in Fuyumi being speechless, which doesn't happen very often otherwise).

Hehe, well, it's gotta come from somewhere, as well as needs a reason otherwise it's...not quite as amusing. Oh, man, though - if Fuyumi's that talkative, her being speechless now and then would be something to remember (Hoshiko is turning out to be that way, oh dear).

Yep. I'm starting to think if you spend a lot of time with Fuyumi and so get to hear of her schemes/adventures, your sassy side comes out more frequently... Nao has a tiny bit of sass that gets used around Fuyumi, hence why I'm suspecting that thought. And yep, since Fuyumi's a talkative little kid (well, not so little now, but hey)...she's rarely quiet, and her being quiet indicates something's wrong. (And hee hee, have fun!)

Nao has been around Fuyumi for longer than Midori, so it's bound to happen... It just doesn't happen all that often, so I usually get caught out and forget she does have that ability. ("Wait what, Nao?" "Oh come on")

Yep. It also catches Fuyumi out, as she's used to Nao being quiet and not that type. ("Aw, Nami...") I laugh at her reaction sometimes...
