Description "I want to protect them, no matter what!"

Name: Keiji
Combat Style: Powerful one-handed strikes, coupled with quick reflexes and spells.
Signature techniques: Fire Raid, Prism Windmill, Firaga
Keyblade: Firestorm
Description: A Keyblade with decent reach that boosts your strength and makes it easier to land critical hits.

What is anatomy
How do you Keyblade

Kingdom Hearts AU Keiji, obvs a Keyblade wielder  It was supposed to be a quickly-done doodle last night, but the Keyblade took forever to design  took me an hour or so to finish because of that I just drew the first outfit I saw Keiji in, so... it doesn't look really KH-ish IMO  also might end up revamping the outfit in the future, if I draw him in KH-universe again

For now, I'm thinking of having my KHX OC Mika be the one perform the Inheritance Ceremony with him, but that could change depending on what me and fellow KH fans in my art group discuss as regards this alternate universe for our GB-selves

Ooh, that Keyblade looks awesome! Fire just fits Keiji, so that works!

NGL, I'm still iffy when it comes to Keyblade design, but this is one of the few that I liked when it was done :3  so yay, you find it awesome~  And yeah, fire fits him pretty well  (even if he wasn't my genderbend XD; )

It's no problem at all!

And now I'm wanting to play KH... I might stick to the Let's Play videos, though.

I guess I was lucky I got into the series relatively early. I say 'relatively' because when I got in, there were 'only' 4 games. Now there are... 8, I think? Not including the remakes (1.5 and 2.5 ReMix). So yeah, it may be a good idea to stick to the videos XD;

Besides, it's fun watching others battle their way through the games...

Yep yep! It's not the same as experiencing the game yourself, but when you do both (play and watch others play), you kinda spot the parts everyone has trouble with XD;  plus, if your only aim is to learn enough about the story, watching playthroughs is good

I remember watching playthroughs of Five Nights at Freddy's, and then finally playing the game myself. When Freddy got in 'my' face, I didn't scream - I laughed my sister, on the other hand, dived out of sight, screaming. I'm that person who, when watching a horror film, complains it isn't scary enough OTL

I have an RPG game on the DS (Phantasy Star Zero) that I attempted to play, and then just went and watched the playthroughs as I was struggling. It proved interesting...

Oh, that's interesting... I don't think I'd ever play Five Nights at Freddy's, but that sounds hilarious!

Ohhh gosh Phantasy Star Zero! I remember playing that back in... 2011, or thereabouts? I didn't have my 3DS yet, but yeah, my siblings and I all just passed the DS around and played that game XD;  It was fun. But oh gods the infinity tower you unlock at some point. It seriously *is* an infinity sort of thing - so many floors OTL

I...never got past the first big boss on the Newman route, and hardly ever got past the dragon on the Human route (and I am really bad at RPGs anyway). Sarisa's such a cutie, though! "I know they call it a drop-pod, but would it kill them to make it a little bit smoother?" (or something like that). It seems interesting, from what I've seen, though!

KristalDawn07 In reply to SilverFae16 [2015-09-01 09:47:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh gosh, Sarisa~!  The dragon dear gods that thing killed me more times than I care to count; but it paid off - I figured out the pattern so I was able to set things up properly   I forgot the first boss for the Newman route, though...

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-01 10:05:31 +0000 UTC]

Yep, I liked Sarisa too! And well done with the dragon--I get caught out when it dies all the time. I'm just running away half the time, I must admit. I think the Newman route's first boss is the Diablo octopus thing (poor Sarisa...). I know you have to strike it on the back of the head or something, but that is NOT easy, from what I've seen.

Did you--and your siblings--complete the game, then?

KristalDawn07 In reply to SilverFae16 [2015-09-01 15:17:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I finished the game, actually - I'm not sure if my siblings did though Ohhhh if it's the octopus thing, yeah, that was also hard D: but all the dying just made spotting the pattern easier to prepare for

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-02 04:00:05 +0000 UTC]

Pfft, I've probably died a million times and I'm no closer to figuring it out! I'm not great with these kinda games... Oh well.

I guess it takes a lot of practice - and some people are better at some kinds of games than others (I take longer than I'd like on games like Ace Attorney, and I'm still learning a lot of the ropes in Pokemon)...

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-03 04:03:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I'm not bad at Pokémon, but I'm better with simple, non-plot focused games (so like... I don't know, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, for example).

Ooh, I remember that - a few friends and I played it several times at this gaming place where you could rent a Wii per hour and play any number of games

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-04 03:51:19 +0000 UTC]

Yep. I like those kinda games, probably because they're relatively simple (unlike some RPGs etc)

And that sounds nice...

One game I miss playing is Rock Band, tbh I'd usually find myself on drums, vocals or - rarely - on guitar/bass, usually flailing at that last one

Yeah, those games that aren't plot-based are nice once in a while; breaks the monotony of having to follow a story and all that

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-05 11:14:42 +0000 UTC]

Not really played Rock Band, to be honest. I think we have the Lego version of the game somewhere, but... Another fave for me is Super Smash Bros Brawl--it does have a story mode, but I usually play it for the battles. I'm not a good fighter at the best of times, but oh well...

Very true! Just going at your own pace (relatively) is nice, without the worries of the plotline pulling you along or stopping you from where you want to go. (Pokémon is this for me. Once you get pulled into the plot sections...)

Smash Bros Brawl~  Oh, man, that's another game I probably should get ><  I'm not that good at fighting games either, tbh, although I try to learn the button combos XD;

Oh, do you have a 3DS? I kinda want to add more people's friend codes and stuff Plus, more people to trade or battle with on Pokemon, whoo~ 8D

SilverFae16 In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-09-06 06:36:04 +0000 UTC]

I'm not great with combos, but oh well. And Brawl is awesome!

Nope, sorry. I have a DS, but that's it.

KristalDawn07 In reply to SilverFae16 [2015-09-06 16:28:21 +0000 UTC]

Oh, well, that's okay ^^  though I do want to find out if a DS friend code won't work/can't be added on a 3DS and stuff, 'cause I have another friend on tumblr who also doesn't have a 3DS, but we wanna add each other

*adds Brawl to list of games to look at for collection*

That's an awesome keyblade design fiery hehehe and his outfit looks pretty awesome to me I wonder who of the canons he would get on with you think?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KristalDawn07 In reply to Cosmos-Kitty [2015-08-30 13:10:15 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the Keyblade started as a joke in the group because we were being all serious and stuff during a group chat, and I was listening to people (my bestie, in particular) while I was playing Birth By Sleep (one of them KH games XD; ). Then I realized I'd activated the 'Firestorm' command style without meaning to and just went "FIRESTORM BABY!"  No one in the group who was in the chat that day has let me forget it XD; so instead of racking my brain for a Keyblade name, I went with that one as the basis for the design XD; Another possible name was Flame Tempest or sth

Funny thing is, Keiji has the same seiyuu and VA as some of the canons already XDDDD  Jap voice is Irino Miyu, who voices Sora and BBS baddie Vanitas; English voice is Jesse McCartney, who voices Roxas and Ven (BBS again)  That said... he'd probably get along with Riku (they have the whole 'protect friends/family' thing going on), or Axel/Lea, because of their attraction to fire  Psst, he finds Namine cute and Kairi pretty

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cosmos-Kitty In reply to KristalDawn07 [2015-08-30 15:04:11 +0000 UTC]

Awwwww X3 no one let you forget it eh XD poor Kei lol There are things I don't let my dad forget and there are things I don't let Arik forget it's just funny stuff ^////^ that makes sense to come to this design ^__^ and fire does seem quite fitting with you

Jesse McCartney has some hot songs XD I admit I only know two properly, but I do quite like his voice him and Riku may get on eh? Coolies hehe when I had Kingdom Hearts for a while, Riku was the one who got my attention first lol and ooooh he does eh I don't know Namine, but Kairi is a sweet girl hehehe ^^

KristalDawn07 In reply to Cosmos-Kitty [2015-08-31 02:38:21 +0000 UTC]

Nope, no one. My Skype name is even changed to reflect it XD;  so now I'm in a KH skype chat group, and they know me as 'firestorm' or 'fire'  Yeah, it's all in fun, and I honestly don't mind too much - it's quite amusing

LMAO  well, yeah, his voice is cool. I think I fell out of my seat when I heard him as Nightwing in Young Justice (season 2). Plus I like his songs - "Leavin'", "Crash and Burn", and "Because You Live"  being among my top faves

Oh gods you have A LOT to catch up on if you're familiar only with the first game @_@ I'm still trying to play catch-up myself, since I haven't finished Re:Coded yet, and there are likely some tidbits in the other games that I hadn't picked up on yet.

ANYWAY, Namine is Kairi's Nobody; she first appears, chronologically, in Chain of Memories, and then again in KH2 - which is where Roxas first appears XD;  Then there's Re:Coded and 358/2 Days for the DS, where you play as Data-Sora and Roxas, respectively. On the PSP there's Birth By Sleep (you play Terra, Aqua, and Ven, finishing each chara's storyline to get the whole story). The latest new game was Dream Drop Distance, where you switch between Sora and Riku as they take their Mark of Mastery exam. The 1.5 ReMix and 2.5 ReMix are all on the PS3, but they're essentially remasters of the previous games except for DDD.

With that many games and consoles, it's no wonder people just watch playthroughs to know more about the franchise XD;

Awwwww XD it sounds like a lot of fun ^^ glad you have a good time hehehe

Because You Live is one of the two I know Beautiful Soul is the other I know well

Yep, a lot to catch up on I only played KH, got stuck and gave up, but I've been telling/asking my mum that I want the KH HD collections for PS3 so I can try them again ^^, so I'm hoping I'll get those at some point, probably Christmas if I don't get them sooner

That is a lot of games O______O and lots of consoles, I've never even used a DS lol I have a PSP, but I'm not very good on it it sounds like a good idea to just do playthroughs or reading up to get the story XD That's what I did for Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, I read up on VII and the characters to get a understanding of them before I saw the movie........and I still barely really understood it I'm doing better now though ^_^ I've even got crushes on a couple characters so woooooooo for another game I now understand that I missed out in childhood

KristalDawn07 In reply to Cosmos-Kitty [2015-09-01 04:56:48 +0000 UTC]

Yep. The only reason I played the first two games at all was because I had a friend who had both, and I played through a few fights (especially the final battle against Xemnas in KH2, which we tag-teamed for). Then came the playthroughs because I don't have a PS2 myself

*crosses fingers that you get the HD remakes*

Awwwww we bought KH 1 and 2 cos they sounded good with having Disney involved XD but yeah, my mum didn't like it after having a go and I got hopelessly lost in Tarzan's world I believe it was and totally gave up for other games like Jak, Ratchet, Crash, Spyro, Prince of Persia XD all the competition lol but I'm hoping, if I try the game again now that I'm older and a better, slightly more patient, player, that I'll do better

KristalDawn07 In reply to Cosmos-Kitty [2015-09-01 23:47:16 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, well, the system used in the first 2 games takes a while to get used to OTL  But dear gods the card system in Chain of Memories (and it's remakes, Re:CoM and Reverse:Rebirth - that's Riku's side of the story) - that was worse for me; I got stuck in... maybe the 2nd world of it? But Days, Birth By Sleep, and DDD all have fairly simple combat systems in comparison

Well, you never know until you try, right? Go for it~

Hehehe that is true XD it's different to the other games we were used to at the time...and probably even now but hoping more patience and game skill in general from experience might help I've found in the past year a few games I sucked at when young I ended up being able to beat fairly easily now...a little struggle maybe so it is possible lol And ooooh I see, I'll keep that in mind XD thanks lol ^_^

Exactly
