Description
The twins are more active in the latter half of the G-Revolution series, after Boris Balkov makes an appearance in connection with the Beyblade Entertainment Global Associate (BEGA). Both refuse to believe the old Russian has truly changed. Kei joins BEGA under an assumed name and a disguise, in order to find out more about the association from the inside. She also buys several parts from various hobby shops, using her BEGA ID, for Takao and the others to use when she learns they can't get them on their own - not without BEGA IDs of their own.Katou, meanwhile, helps out with the more technical side of things, giving Kyouju, Emily, and Mihaeru feedback as the three work on finishing the new beys Kyouju had designed. He stays home when the group is at the mountain retreat, but visits with them at the Kinomiya residence as Takao, Rei, Max, and Daichi work to master their new beys, and Rick and the others try their hand at using the same.
Even with the BEGA Justice 5 tournament going on, Kei stays in her BEGA member persona, just in case; she called for first aid when Kai passes out in one of the back corridors after his rematch against Brooklyn.
Neither twin may be in tournament at BB-Tournament right now, but I couldn't resist making my own screenshot edits, based on the current task
also in time for the birthday lmao Top left: episode 40, "You Give Up?" - Katou stays at home because Kei's sending him information now and then, but he still contacts Kenny and the rest to help with making the HMS beys.
Top right: episode 41, "What Are You Planning?" - Kei has no choice but to join the mini-tournament Balkov sets up to determine the 5 members of the team BEGA will present at the Justice 5 event. She knows about Kai's weighted scarf, but holy wow does it surprise her when it turns out he's still using it.
Bottom left: episode 41, "What Are You Planning?" - the tournament is broadcast on TV, Tyson and the rest, including Katou, watch when it comes on. He freaks out a little when he sees Kei battle Brooklyn in an earlier match and later teases her about losing on purpose, which of course isn't true, but like his friends, he's concerned for Kai later on.
Bottom right: episode 48, "It's Love!" - Kai wins his rematch against Brooklyn, but at what appears to be great cost. Kei goes to help him, attempting to bring him to the infirmary. Even with her help, he soon falters.
What is anatomy
I took the screenshots myself, but I had to re-draw the screenshot from episode 48, since Kai's right arm is at a different angle than in the original. Kei may be strong, but if you're going to suddenly slump to your knees, she's gonna have difficulty all the same. Katou did away with his dogtag necklace for the second half of the series because he learned the hard way that a loose necklace can get in the way of Beyblade-testing

It was fun drawing Kei's reaction to seeing Kai just throw that scarf to the side, so much "wtf Kai not that weighted thing again".
Oh gods, when I re-watched that episode, I had to rewind the first part, because I finally caught what he said - "Just a little more, Dranzer, until we beat this guy - until [my] life burns out." Of course, that life could be either his, figuratively, or the Dranzer beyblade's - since it shattered at the end. But man, either way, it was a suicide run of a rematch O_o But yeah, lol, Kei helping Kai (I think I made a voice clip edit of that scene, too...
The fact that Kei helps him in that scene is actually gonna be referenced in my fanfic, at some point XD;

Part of me is tempted to add that to... I dunno, Rikkun's training regimen in my main timeline - it would make sense since he's taking taekwondo, and you need leg strength for that. Cue the jokes and teasing lines about "like father, like son" because of weighted clothing XD;

Oh, this looks pretty! Well done on at least trying to fit the twins in discreetly (relatively so, anyway), as you don't want it to look glaring obvious you've tried to edit it. I take it Kei disguised herself as a boy when she entered BEGA? (I wouldn't be surprised, girl bladers aren't exactly common in-series, so...And it isn't the first time she's done that, either!)

Yep, gotta be discreet - which is what the twins were going for anyway XD; Nailed it on the head - not only did Kei purposely hold back during testing and whatever at BEGA, but also went under a male persona so Boris wouldn't notice her.
I was re-watching mostly the BEGA arc in case I had to reference it in the fic, and I did a mental double-take at what Kai said at the start of ep48. Roughly translated, it's "Dranzer, just a bit more until we beat this guy... and until my life burns out." That didn't make it to the English dub, for obvious reasons, so people were definitely confused on whether or not he died and then was just revived or something. It didn't help that the last scenes was of an unconscious Tala in the hospital suddenly crying (unconscious crying, but yeah), and then back to Kai slumped in the corridor. Talk about a dark time in a Beyblade series...

Yeah, true! And yeah, I can guess why--since she was at the Abbey... That could have gone wrong if she didn't hide her identity. Yeah, average male blader attracts no attention; powerful female blader would attract more attention--which is what Kei would want to avoid. Did she still use Gogyou as her beyblade, then, but never released her bit-beast?
And ooh, yeah, not good times... Eek, poor Kai!
Quick question: Were the BEGA IDs thing just a way for Boris to keep control of the market and who could access parts? I wouldn't be surprised if he did that... After all, you don't want your enemies getting parts that could help them beat you!

Oh gosh, those BEGA IDs. In a way, it was a good idea - it could keep unsavory bladers from getting parts and using them in the wrong way. But ultimately, you got it. Control who has access to parts, less chances of them beating you =/

Yeah, I can see why it would have seemed like a good act on Boris's part--keep troublemakers out of the sport. But, as with everything, a good thing can go bad... So yeah, somewhat good, somewhat bad (if Boris is involved, probably bad)

Aaaand you just opened up a tiny can of worms - what would've happened if things didn't go according to plan and Boris recognized Kei, anyway? I have a feeling Katou would've dragged her out of BEGA and taken her place, using the same fake name, just in case the Russian tried something (like changing the rules of the mini-tournament, since the original had the people in each block know which blader they had to defeat to stand a chance of representing BEGA).
It was a nuisance for Hilary, I can tell you that XD; even her 'delicate' act wouldn't get store owners to sell her any parts. To be honest, I could see the beginnings of the WBBA in the underlying structure for BEGA, but maybe that's just me? It does NOT help that Boris and Daidouji are voiced by the same voice actor

Yeah, I guess I expect the worst with her--her big mouth could get her into trouble ("could" meaning "has"). I do cringe at what she comes out with, sometimes, though... (Seriously, during the big RP, there have been two occasions at least where I've cringed at what she comes out with: the first was the whole "Why don't you look more like a fox?" to Kei (not sure why now, but I know I was cringing when I heard that)...and then "Seriously, Teck, do you have something against gangs in general?". The second one definitely so, given the circumstances...)

Maybe it's just me, but oh gods that question about looking like a fox made me chuckle - and it gave Kei pause, because for her, Fuyumi had a point. She's seen it with other people who somehow got fused with their bit beast (Brooklyn is one blader who didn't fuse with his, but looked scary all the same when Zeus started showing through him more and more). Ah, Yuu. The kid Atsuki finds herself babysitting (sometimes alongside Tsubasa) - and eventually sees as something like a younger brother

I get what you mean... I wouldn't have asked that question, but since Fuyumi would, she asked it. (Also, before I forget--is the whole Akayu-the-reaper thing going to be an issue for Kei now, given what happened? I know you mentioned that what happened was a significant turning point for both twins (given that it was a death, that's understandable), so...) For me, I was used to Fuyumi getting into trouble because of that mouth of hers, so while it elicited a slight chuckle, I was cringing more. But that's nice to know it was amusing.

As to Akayu-the-reaper... well, I'd say it's an issue - it was just the sort of thing Kei had been trying to avoid, before and after the fusion (which doesn't happen in the main timeline, by the way). Her main concern is if she can still rein Akayu in and prevent her from devouring another soul. And let's just say that, connected to the bit beast as she was, a small part of her liked the surge in power she felt at that point. Unlike a drug high, though, that surge doesn't exactly fade - just makes the bit beast more powerful the next time.

And again you hit the nail on the head - Akayu (or Kei herself) could kill again. Or (and I'm still doing the research on this), simply devour the soul and leave the body intact, basically leaving the person in a coma for whatever reason (maybe akin to the whole 'a fate worse than death' thing).

Unfortunately, fusion can't be undone. While she's thankful that she won't have to pass the burden on to anyone in her family (since Akayu started out as family guardian on her mom's side, and the stone statue sealing her being passed from one protector to another), she's resigned herself to looking for ways to keep the fox from going wild. Meditation is one - not that different from her relaxation exercises when she was still learning martial arts. So fingers crossed...

oh man this is so amazing because you managed to copy the style/boldness of the coloring as well, because i've seen lots of screenshots where the style was copied very well, but if the shades were too blurred/light it obviously didn't blend in.
My favorite shot is from episode 41, you managed to fit Katou in very well!! Admittedly 48 does look a little awkward because you had to change it to make Kei fit in XDD

The result of lots of trial and error with previous screenshot edits XD; so yay, it's nice to know it paid off, even with the awkwardness that is the shot from episode 48 
Yeah, I've seen edits where only the style or the colors were copied pretty good, but the other one wasn't so the blend wasn't so good... *shifty eyes* Of course, it's a whole different matter to draw the screenshot itself, so I'm not including those (especially since there are people who're good at that).
Oh gosh, yes! That one's my fave, too, and I honestly don't know what I did that was so different XDDD
