Good old Paper Mario 2. This is Goombella giving a normal Goomba a wink that no Goomba could resist. What more can I say? Cute little pic if I do say so myself, drawn in Paper Mario style. I paid close attention to the shading of the characters, but the poses etc are all my own. Isn't she cute?Related content

Holy crap, that is AWESOME. Illustrator, I'm assuming? The linework is so crisp and the coloring so vibrant that I could seriously mistake this for official Nintendo art if I didn't know any better.

Awesome! That shading looks totally professional, I love it. I have a question though, when you've made those thick outlines, are they like on a layer behind the character? Cause otherwise it doesn't look right, right? Or have you like converted the lines into fills and then added lines around the lines?

I see. So you're basically doing it by hand, you could say. Doesn't seem very effective. I wish flash would have some thing to make that stuff easier. I wonder how proffesionals, like the people who made the graphics for paper mario 2 did that. The easiest way I guess would be to do it in like photoshop.

Thanks for the comment. The thick outlines are on a layer above all the other lines. Once i've done all the thin lines or lines which need doing, I then do the thick outline around the image and basically hope that it fits. It does take a little tweaking, but it works in the end.
