Description yeah. That book "pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is, I think, only the tip of the iceberg.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a great book, they have made a Wuthering Heights and Vampires (Wuthering Bites) and the other two sound pretty intresting...Thanks, you've given me two new book ideas lol.

Actually, they did make another one. I think it had something to do with vampires.

Considering there's now Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, AND Mansfield Park and Mummies, you were right.

wonder what "persuasion" is gonna get paired with...

Adding Cthulhu to Old Man and the Sea would be amazing. And, having read both Pride and Prejudice and the newest version, I have to say that both of them are pretty good.

A lot of the book is actually the same text as the original pride and prejudice. I definitely don't think people should read it instead of the original, but it's quite a laugh if you have read it and can compare the two.

Frankly as I see it, the zombies would improve a boring text like Pride and Prejudice. I never read Wuthering Heights but it sounds like vampires would make it better. I would read A Tale of Two Cities and Werewolves but not really Old Man and the Sea and Cthulu (not a fan of the Old Ones). I still found this comic to be humorous.

They are coming out with Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters in the near future.

If they want to use public domain literature for their own fan-fiction-y purposes, I'm fine with that... I've seen a lot worse 'original' titles out there (Pregnesia, Innocent wife, baby of shame...).

I called it, though. I knew they weren't going to stop with just the zombies.

It was only a matter of time when they change the classics you love so much in to supposive "thrillers" for people who can't appreciate a good read.

Idiots... that's what they are, idiots.

I WANT TO READ THAT (pride and prejudice with zombies)
and if they made a wuthering heights with vampires i wouldn't be surprised because some literary critics think heathcliff was a vampire (i think these critics have been reading a little too much stephanie mey-VOM. sorry. she who must not be named.)

I just read Wuthering Heights. Took me three days to read it, and I don't know whose the more emo character, Heathcliff or Edward Cullen.
I could see vampires in Wuthering Heights. But I also read Twilight, and WH was mentioned a few times.

I'm all for adding anything to Wuthering Heights. I wasted two weeks of my life reading it. Vampires would be an improvement. Anything would be an improvement.

I wanted to whack Heathcliff over the head with a cricket bat and yelling "get over it moron."
I felt so sorry for Heath Ledger when I found out that he was named after him.

Me, too! I was so dissapointed--I was under the impression that Wuthering Heights was a romance, not a hate story! >.< D= That's lame. Heathcliff's the worst romantic character I've ever read--was he even romantic? There were like maybe two pages of romance before Cathy died...to be replaced by her daughter, Cathy.

wow. just wow.

gotta love how some of these new authors are ruining classics and, at the same time, the undead genre for us all.

hysterileleak In reply to PlumLUCKY [2010-04-21 22:34:45 +0000 UTC]

It actually is a pretty good book. It doesn't stray much from the original script and story, just adds a little and a few changes here and there. It really didn't ruin the undead genre, they're still zombies, and they still want to eat peoples brains. How is that ruining the undead genre?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PlumLUCKY In reply to hysterileleak [2010-04-22 00:33:00 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, it just seems like it's making a mockery of the undead genre by mixing it in with the classic. Sounds pretty unoriginal, too.

Just my opinion.
