Description This is a cryptid cetacean very similar to known sperm whales. However, the major difference is the the large, sickle-like fin that protrudes from its back. A similar cryptid called the "Palmyra Fish" has also been seen (although it is a whale, not a fish).

Seems like more of a mutation than a full on cryptid. That doesn't make the picture any less great though.

Thanks. If it's a mutation, then its not an isolated one. Supposedly two such whales were seen stranded on the Shetland Islands by Sir Robert Sibbald. A mutation could well explain it though, since whales' dorsal fins contain no bones and are mostly fleshy. That would make them easy to generate.

Or it could be an unknown subspecies of whale.
