Nice, but there are sadly many errors. First of all itΒ΄s way too short, Basilosaurus was elongated to a nearly ridiculous degree. ItΒ΄s also much too thin, and its "legs" are missing as well. It also lacks upper lips which covered its upper teeth in life, and the nasal cartilagines are also missing.

I totally agree. This drawing have 2 years, and the majority of my works of this time have these big problems of proportions and anatomy.

Who would win in a battle, Basilosaurus or temnodontosaurus?

I believe I can answer this question.

It entirely depends on which species of Temnodontosaurus you are using.

Comparing known average sizes, the larger species of Temnodontosaurus steamrolls the fight, while the smaller species would probably lose more often than not.

Temnodontosaurus' huge eyes would give it an eyesight advantage, which would be quite significant if the battle takes place at a depth where most of the light is filtered out.

Basilosaurus seems to be around the body mass of an average specimen of Tyrannosaurus, ~6-7 tonnes, despite being much longer. It was basically a serpentine whale. Temnodontosaurus, at size parity, is far more robust and far bulkier, and thus could exert force more effectively.

well the two animals could never meet, so why even bother?

I dunno. Maybe I watch too much King Kong. I find clashes between prehistoric creatures from different time periods quite entertaining, even though they could have never happened.
