Description Trying to join the Ranger Gathering's contest, although I'm still figuring out how exactly this works. Hopefully I'm doing this right. I can't seem to submit it to the right folder..

The drawing is based on a scene in Ranger's Apprentice, the Emperor of Nihon Ja, where Evanlyn and Alyss have to practice fighting with swords together. I thougt the scene was hillarious, so I made some fanart for it.

number of the off-duty crew had gathered to watch as well. There was a certain
enjoyment to be had in watching two extremely attractive girls trying to split each other’s
skulls open with wooden swords.
‘The “fighting” part or the “ladies” part?’ Will replied with a grin.
Halt looked at him and shook his head. ‘Definitely the “ladies”,’ he said. ‘There’s no
debate about the “fighting”.’"

I'm so sad it's over! But I enjoyed it very much. I really liked Nihon-Ja as a place and the Emperor is amazing.

I kind of wish they mentioned the wedding between Horace and Evanlyn or the future of Alyss and Will though.

I was going to draw this scene for the contest! I ended up being too frustrated at how it wouldn't turn out right though.

Thanks!! I used Photoshop CS5. I photoshop. I stole the fighting positions from pirates of the caribbean though. xP

It was my favorite scene too, although I thought the entire book 10 was epic.

I liked the last book! The only thing that kind of bothered me at the time was that it was focused kind of on Horace. I just thought for a last book in that time period (he plans to come out with a 12th) it should have been focused on the Rangers or Will or even Halt. That's just me being picky though! XDDd

Yes! I love the scene too where Alyss cuts her hair/dyes it. XD Then Will says something about it.

There is a 12th book coming out? WHEN??!! I do kind of like the character of Horace, so I didn't mind that he got some extra attention, and he and Evanlyn are just so cute together.

Yes! There's no set date for it. It's supposed to be the final (this time lol!) for the series. Set 20 years later. It's an interview somewhere. Someone had sent the Gathering the link a year or go. He plans to work on the Brotherband Chronicles for awhile then go back to it.
