This is my half of an art trade with the fabulous ~kittenplushies !At first, I thought that drawing Starlight for the trade would be really hard! She has all these fancy abstract patterns on her back and legs and then those wings... I wasn't so sure how I was going to do the color blending! I'd sketched out this picture before I took my art class. During the art class, we learned how to blend and I got my first set of Prismacolors! They, for some reason, make blending and shading a whole lot easier! If you haven't tried them before, do it!
Oh, I also got a Sakura Micron pen for outlining! I think it makes the drawing look much cleaner and it also scans better.
I'm really proud of how this turned out. The color blending worked, and I tried to shade it though I can't tell if the scanner ate the shading or not. Well, I hope you like it, ~kittenplushies ! I'm glad we could trade! ^^

I love your creativity. The only thing I would suggest is to just try visualizing where you want to land the pencil when doing a swoop, maybe practice a couple times without touching the paper before swooping with the pencil, in one big motion when doing curves. It helps me. Otherwise I find when doing curves they turn out sloppy and looking like lumpy lines. Overall, though, I'd say you have talent.. especially when it comes to a creative mind, this is very creative. Other then the lines being a wee shaky, I'd say brilliant job.
