Thanks, I did this picture right after the movie came out without a lot of refernce material, so I know exactly what you mean on the helmet.
A lot of my sketches and inks never go much further because I am generally my own worse critic.

Great eye- excellent question.
I really don't know. Before the Kotobukiya statue of Bly came out, we had no idea what the DC-17 pistols he carried looked like besides the handles. I based the one in this picture off of the 3.75" action figure's pistols, which looked like shrunken versions of grevious' blaster. We hardly had any references so I went with what I knew, and at that time it was the figures.

The top are similar to what Fordo may have carried originally. I used the ones on the bottom (casted from the Kotobukiya Bly) and shortened them a bit. Then I added the barrel of Fett's ROTJ EE-3 blaster to tie it into continuity. I have seen animated ARCs with both round barrels (the Gentle Giant maquette) AND rectangular (the animated action figure- like my avatar).
As I said above, the bottom versions are the DC-17 pistols the Bly statue came with, and would be the correct pistol this trooper should be carrying.

What type of pistol is that? It looks nothing like the standard DC-15S Blaster... I've never actually seen a clone wield a pistol like that.
