Past: Fumihiko can see in the past with his third eye. These readings aren’t 100% accurate though, when Fumihiko takes a peek in the past he can only see flashes of the events that have happened and not the whole thing. Seeing into the past is easier than trying to predict the future, because the future is still at making so it’s harder to concentrate in it than in the past that consists from events that have already happened and can’t be changed.

The Third Eye Sees It All: Fumihiko can see through lies and illusions cast by other youkais with his third eye. The only downside to this ability is, that the more he uses it the blurrier his eyesight in general will get and at some point he could even go blind for a short amount of time and that’s something that he doesn’t want to happen. He likes to see things you know.

I See You: Fumihiko is able to sense people’s presence before he can see them coming closer to him. He can’t sense people that are miles away from him, that would be just insane. It’s still possible to surprise him, because Fumihiko lowers his guard when he feels relaxed.

Fumihiko is a somewhat sadistic man who isn’t afraid to kick someone’s ass, especially if the individual happens to be very annoying. He doesn’t fail to notice all the bad in the world and calling him naive would be the same thing as calling puppies frightening. He is a hard person to fool but at the same time Fumihiko is a bit pessimistic, since he always sees the bad side of things before the good sides. This trait is stronger around people who seem potentially dangerous in Fumihiko’s eyes or around those that he doesn’t fully trust.

But around people that he doesn’t see as a threat to himself or someone that he might care about, Fumihiko appears as a lazy bum who just hangs around the edge of the village during day time doing absolutely nothing except drinking. Very few things can make him move from his spot during such times and he can get potentially annoying because Fumihiko has a habit of teasing people who try to get him do something creative while he is busy doing nothing. If he is in a good mood, he might stop joking around and actually get interested about the thing that you want him to do. Most of the time he will just be a jerk and yank you from your arm down on the grass next to him and use you as a body pillow if you get too close since Fumihiko seems to have no idea, what personal space means. Or rather, he knows very well what personal space means and uses others discomfort to amuse himself by simply shoving his face too close to theirs. He enjoys this greatly and can even get a bit flirty if he so feels like.

History:

There isn’t much to hear about from Fumihiko’s childhood, or at least so he claims. But it is known that he comes from somewhere north and that he used to serve a lord of a small youkai clan. He was a samurai in the past, not among the most well known ones but certainly not the weakest one. He admired his lord’s way of thinking, he had a very peaceful way of solving the problems with the humans each and every time that there was some trouble with them and the Hakutaku might have even wished to be more like his lord some day. Back in the days Fumihiko was a “softer” person, or perhaps saying that he was more open minded would be a better way to describe his past self. The death of his lord and the fall of his clan were the reasons why he changed. He was not strong enough to follow after his lord’s footsteps and instead picked up his katana and started to spill some blood. He is not proud about it, nor will he be eager to tell about it to anyone, but it’s what happened and he is forced to live with.

Fumihiko lost his pride as a samurai after becoming a ronin and he started to ignore the bushido code. He doesn’t even try to be a samurai anymore and doesn’t want to become one again. He thinks that he would make a horrible samurai with the personality that he has right now. So instead he does nothing. Nothing important or possibly useful anyway...these days Fumihiko earns some yen by doing rounds around the village or by helping the bouncers with extremely difficult people at the brothel or the bathhouse. He isn’t tied to one single job and the favourite thing that he likes to do in order to gain money is to play stupid bar games which often involve muscle and fighting and a lot of sake and shouting or by simply working as someone’s bodyguard for a while because he is good at stuff like that. He might even visit the dojo and watch the others train, even spar with them if he feels like it. But 80% of his time, Fumihiko will be seen loitering around the village.

”I know that I’m not what you expect an hakutaku to be. But if you think about it hard enough you will come to realise, that no matter what you are or where you come from the shitty things that happen to us all in life at some point can and will change us. Some more than others. There, I said something smart, now where’s my free sake bottle that you promised…?”

Additional Information:

Fumihiko is not stupid, he knows things. A lot of things to be honest, but he simply chooses not to share his knowledge with others. It might be dangerous.
Smokes a pipe every once in awhile but drinking is certainly a much better way to pass time.
Is little afraid that the humans might one day find the village and return there with an army and wipe them all out. That’s one of the reasons why he still practises swordsmanship. The other reason is, that he is quite fond of the village and it’s inhabitants. The third reason is a secret…
Gets a bit shocked if he manages to make someone cry.
He thinks that idiots who have only little knowledge about anything live happier lives than the smart people. Ignorance is a bliss, you know?
