You know what I find funny about all of these doodles. You can always tell that nobody really likes Jacob. He's black and that's pretty much his only claim to fame. On the other hand, you have people completely going crazy over thane who sounds like an old woman who smoked 20 packs of cigarettes a day and whines about how he's going to die (and cries at his sex scene).
Sometimes I wonder if Jacob is the only very dark black man in space (he probably is).

What are you talking about? Jacob rules. He's the most chilled out space soldier ever. Boss is evil? Well, ain't they all. Rapist dad? Give him a few minutes and he's cool. Super cold ex-girlfriend? That's life.
Someone someplace or another said that skill-wise, Jacob's in the top one percent of his species, but the rest of the crew is like the top .0001 percent so people don't pay much attention. But he is like, hyper-well-adjusted in a ship full of crazy. I wish there was expanded party interaction to make that clear.
Thane, though, is just plain hilarious, with a side of fucking unsettling. And his son is the best(worst) ME character ever.

Hahah awesome. Whenever I played I always just thought jacob would suddenly burst out something like "OH SHIT SON!!!" or some sort of will smith quote. He is pretty useless compared to say, Tali personally but really I think it's because of the way he was written.
I think it was because the developers didn't really give a shit about him. Like fuck. right at the end he volunteers to be the dude to open up those doors and shit on the collectors ship and he gets a ROCKET TO THE FACE. After he volunteered! It was a huge fuck you to the player if you listened to anybody in the game haha.
THAAAAAAAAAANE. But he's so bishie and kawaii and he will cry all over you because he loves you. I always wondered if his tears were like drugs, and if you licked them off your face you would be tripping balls like intergalactic space rave shit.
