Just watched the latest Mortal Kombat 2021 movie. As a die hard fan, I liked the movie, but as Johara pointed out, its rife with inconsistency. Why does Raiden look so Asian all of a sudden? Liu Kang had great charisma but also seems to have become much shorter now and looks Indian. Kung Lao and Kano were brilliantly done I thought. Sonya was ok. Shang Tsung and his team were almost devoid of all colour, their costumes were so drab in the whole movie, like they'd walked out of a zombie apocalypse. Shang Tsung also looked a bit on the fat side to be a muscular/fighting sorcerer. The whole tension between Sub Zero and Scorpion was pretty cool tho. Dunno what's with the new Scorpion's descendant tho, Cole Young, his suit looks pretty naf and I was totally not convinced by his weapons, they looked like Stryker's truncheon gone wrong, LOL. But alas, I grew up with this crap and from the era where games were played first on CD. I bought my first Mortal Kombat 3 on CD and played Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate at the real arcades growing up in South Africa, which I think most kids nowadays don't even know what an arcade is. So to celebrate the new movie, I painted some fan art. I think I prefer Kitana in Mortal Kombat X, they've seriously gimped her in Mortal Kombat 11, it's a bit sad as in the story she ultimately becomes leader of Outworld lol
