What I've been working on for the last... three days? Between studying for my finals, that is. It's for a contest on wajas.I like it. I'm not sure if I like the way the picture doesn't really blend with the background well, but besides that, I'm relatively pleased with this.
I've come to the conclusion that it's impossible for me to do a background'd picture and not add anything shiny at the end. >> -prods background- Five minutes before I should be finished, I think, 'HEY! Lets add lightning!" So to the contrast we go.
...I like lightning. owo

Not only have you clearly spent time and effort on the figures, the background is superb and complements the characters.

I think if you want to make the characters blend more with the background, you should include some drops of water running down each character, and little splatters of water as the rain hits them. o:
Right now, it kinda looks like "LOL I DODGE RAIN DROPZ!111" XD But yeah.

I tried the rain stuff. :/ If you look closely you can see a few places where it looks like it bounced off, buuttttt. I think I've decided that they're just waterproof. xD

I'm usually a really slow drawer, but the way Kurushimi came out when I linearted her inspired meto move faster. I surprised myself by getting it entered so early. o_o I'm usually a "As the bell rings" sort of person.

I think the lightening works. :3 The brightness of the snow, and the darkness of the waja's coats (from the angle that we're seeing them) looks more... Purposeful is not the right word. And it's not even spelled right. ;;

I did a lot of work on the main char in the picture after I put her in the picture, basically trying to make her blend in more. I think I succeeded in a more 'wet' look, at least, though the picture isn't as clean as it was before.

Drippy water, or like, water splatters might have made it look wetter, but I wouldn't go that far. XDD I'd be afraid I'd mess it up or something. :< But, it looks great, anyway. <333
