Oh, those are nice selections! I actually wanted 1920's dance songs to listen to when doing this. I wanted some kind of upbeat jazz songs, but wasn't sure where to start without searching too long (I was fighting a cold doing this so looking at the screen was already kind of hard).

The songs listened to for inspiration mostly while doing this were modern with a little bit of that oldie's kind of twist in them:

Suit and Tie by Justine Timberlake (I'm not super fond of the part with Jay-Z, but I still really like the song. Especially the beginning)
Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson ft. Justing Timberlake (this is one the I listened to a lot)
A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (I liked this one a lot because it came from the Great Gatsby movie and I never heard it before)
My Eyes by Blake Shelton (This one's country and doesn't fit at all, but it plays at my work and I ended up liking it enough to listen to it)

Sounds cool, though Korra's world resembles the early-mid 20th century, so I thought I'd add some music from around that time. Royal Crown plays a revival of the style.

Yeah, I'm just not too familiar with music from that time period so I watched some videos of dancing from that era instead, but your music choices were a lot of what i was looking for.

That Royal Crown one was fun to listen to!

I have so many one-shots I want to write for this ship omg. Like, I need to make a list. Modern Bad Boy AU for day 4 of Kainora "Tattoos" One where Kai and Jinora get caught making out by Tenzin (regular universe) and she gets into a fight with her dad about it (this one's tentative though). I'll probably post the one I wrote about Kai and Jinora getting into a fight (because no relationships perfect of course) today later on.

This particular art piece though actually has a lot do with my headcanons where older!Kainora (like 16-17) like to make it a habit to get gussied up and sneak out into the Republic City late at night to go dancing and an extension headcanon of that where they go to this gala with Jinora's family and the Krew and they end up showing off their majors dance skills, but it makes Tenzin suspicious because when did they get that good and those are certainly not airbender moves excuse you where did you learn that? Then perhaps Korra catches them sneaking back in, but instead of reprimanding them she actually covers for them and helps them out a lot because she ships it too :3

I think i might write that one after the "Tattoos" one. Haha, can you tell I'm excited? XD (sorry I wrote so much )

Oh my gosh, you're so full of amazing Kainora ideas! I love them all! Yes please that fic sounds wonderful and I would read it repeatedly. 

Haaaaah, that is an excellent headcanon.

On another note, I have this loose idea for a Korra fic. Would you mind if I run it by you in a note? It sounds good in my head, but I just want to see if it sounds good to other people. Of course, you don't have to entertain me if you don't want, but you obviously know your Korra stuff
