Every mercurial feeling that your heart latched onto,
was pounded into the blood-stained glass
Your eyes burned blue as they caught your image
Your fabricated martyrdom haunted your voice,
scarring the pieces of your crucified heart
still inside your hollow chest
Crossfire.
It became between you and them
The pieces of truth that sank into the muddy lies
Falling deeper and deeper until they were marred
by a few words and crossed out in scabs
Your skin turned into bark,
crawling with infection and parasites that you couldn't see
You threw us all out of your mirror, shattering it for the last time
Your knees found the darkness that you've been sinking in
Crossfire.
The guns have been fired.
Your last words were denial.
