Description

Fish are back, with their trademark counter-attack! People were annoyed that there wasn’t really any way of stopping it (even though it wasn’t that powerful), so this time maybe Syphon or Stun or something will stop it from happening.
I really like how the Steampunk fish turned out – I’ve had trouble making cool wind elemental stuff in previous games, but I think I’m getting better at it.

The fish weren't that bad in EBF4, but the Bronze Fish I just COULD NOT.

Looking back on the EBF 4 fish, I can see why they hated that counter. At times the hits gave stagger, and when it did, sometimes the person with stagger got hit again had either got killed or almost dead. Not a bad idea to fix that.

I don't mind the death counter.

Besides, I found that there in fact WAS a way to stop it in EBF 4 - and that was to make sure that all the fish in a wave died at the same time and as the last things in the wave.

The next wave would come without the death counter happening.

There is one (existing) way to stop the counterattack: destroy the robot fishes last. If the last enemy standing is a robot fish, the battle will end before the counterattack hits. I always use attacks that target all enemies to try & finish them all at once.

For a moment I was worried the peaceful option would trigger that annoying final attack too.

These robots are really only subtly fish-shaped. Will there ever be any living EBF fish enemies?

Doubt it, fish can't survive on land.

Didn't you say there would be lots of water though?

Yeah, but the players never go into it.

well, I think you could have a fish monster thats basicaly a puddle with the top of the fish poking out of it, or inside a fishbowl. The attacks would be basicaly range based, or the fish jumping out of the water, bouncing on the target and flopping back.

I've been noticing a lot of these new designs have attacks that just hit a lot more or hit everyone. I hope this is balanced out well enough.

With soooo many cool monster that you already made, next games will be pokemon-esque maybe?

The sound effects are a little too deep....
And the design of the Goldfish was a little better in EBF4....

Anyway...
Good job as always.
