This reminds me so much of a more flowy Gustav Klimt.

I think it looks quite Art Noveau-esque - look at the lovely contours of the feathers etc! Peacock feathers always seem to feature quite prominently in that line of style... One thing is true, it's a complete mΓ©lange, it looks totally Asian although from what region or country I couldn't say, perhaps another mix? I'm loving all the details of the scales, fantabulous!

Beautiful, just beautiful. There are so many things this makes me think of: Japanese prints, religious icons, Klimt's work, goddess paintings...so many facets, and not one more than the others! I would buy this if it was offered as a print. +fav.

Usually when an exceptional piece like this already has so many comments I am reluctant to add to the chorus, especially when it's a daily deviation which more often than not dissapoint me. However this piece really is quite beautiful and very unique. It really doesn't fall into any one category of genre, style, or spirit, as in fantasy or surrealism or horror macabre etc., other than it's really quite a beautifully executed piece. It has a gorgeous color scheme, a well balanced composition, every line, shape and texture is flawless as well as justified in it's placement while keeping a freeflowing feel and spirit to the overall mood and impression left on the viewer. I really can't find any fault with this piece, it's gorgeous, and you should be proud kupria......

What a gorgeous and unique style! It isn't often that I find a piece on DeviantArt that I would love to display on my wall, but this would definitely be one of them.

This is an interesting combination of Japanese and European influences. The face of the figure is very much that of a Madonna from the 15th century, yet the swirling robes and scales are more of the Floating World era of late 18th century Japanese art. I might title this 'Geisha of the Sea', if I knew the Japanese for that.
