This turned out very well! You've got a much better handle on watercolors than I ever did, and I bet the original is really awesome, given how even this scan turned out really well, even though it washed a lot of the subtle colors out! What I also really like is your lineart, and how it adds a lot of life to Euphemia, especially her eyes! Great work, I'd love to see more traditional work from you!

she just looks way too adorable and the way you got her hand for some reason really adds to the cuteness factor!

to help bring back over exposed areas in Photoshop:
Image>Adjustments>Shadows/hilights
check "Show more options" if not checked.
Move the Shadow ramps for Amount and Tonal Width to 0 (or the darks will go light)
Play with the Hilight ramps for Amount and Tonal Width. That will bring back so much but can add noise if you push them too far.
