I got a custom order the other day and it is one of my absolute favorite pokemon! I am so excited to be able to create one for someone. I may have to make one for myself too because this is turning out so cute.I did some very unconventional type of piecing it together if you have noticed. The tan body part was extended to make the tan for the neck and it attached the blue portion to the tan and continued around and around. Then so to have a slanted body but consistent stitches I cut off my yarn at one point and was attaching it, and cutting it off at the end and attaching it again to get an angle without wasting some yarn/creating a full round back under the shell.
This is the first time I have ever tried anything so "unconventional" instead of keeping all pieces together in a round but this really ended up turning out great! I currently have all parts attached and just need to finish the four fins, the horn and the ears! So excited to show the final product later/tomorrow!

I get that way at times. I've been trying to draw up cute ideas for animals but never get to them or forget. its hard to get in the mood to crochet sometimes for me too. I normally take some breaks for a week or more which lets me recharge

yeah, taking a break usually does help when I'm stuck, but it sucks because currently I don't have a lot of time to crochet because of school, so I just find myself not being able to work on anything at all. >_<

Oh I get that way too! I have classes and work but come the end of the week I am usually a little more free to experiment. But I havwe those moments where I am absolutely busy with class and work where I can't. Those moments really suck.
Sometimes I get some inspiration looking up chubby/chibi animals or pokemon to get a feel of how I want something to sit or a base design.

I do have a few things I crocheted a while back on an account I made with my friends here toastfactory.deviantart.com/ but we haven't posted anything there in a while. Most of the clay figurines are from my friend, though. She's the one who actually got me into making stuff from polymer clay by giving me a cute little Espeon charm (which I think you can see on that account) for my birthday last year!
