i'm not really down with the whole furry thing but i thought something along these lines would make a kick ass high res model. so this time, i'm going by the books & even making proper concept art & stuff. i really like how the face turned out on this. who knew i could draw lions... sorta. now only if i could draw a better gun instead of that generic piece of crap he's holding... that's just a placeholder. i'll probably end up adding a lot of other little details to make the character really pop when it's 3d.
the idea is something a little high concept, but with me, when is it not? this guy is a humanoid lion in a space opera sort of universe. he lives on a vast plain on a greenhouse effect, ultra tropical planet. he runs a salvage business, as many vehicles stall out on the vast plain without sources of energy. so he grabs them, brings them back to his garage & tinkers. he embraces rastafarian culture as they tend to hold the lion in a high regard. he looks fierce but he's real laid back & mellow. and why the name king jules? i ask you, why not?
i'm planning on beginning the head tomorrow. keep on the look out.
