Description This is my second submission for the Artist Training Grounds' week 17 theme: draw a pony with her favourite toy.

Well, I'm pretty sure anyone who knows how much I like Twi saw this one coming. Hopefully the scenario is enough to set this aside from the flood of Twi + Smartypants that's come in.

Anyway, this was about a 3 hour drawing, using the 2H-HB-2B trio. I was trying to be quite a bit less aggressive with shading here, as it has come to my attention that I may be overdoing it. Hopefully the more intense light source makes the stuff I actually shaded stand out more.

... I thought I was weird for using a 2H/HB/2B combination, glad to see there is someone else, I don't put my detailed drawings on the internet though

I love Twilight's hair. Holy cow, it steals the show without a doubt.

Oh, this is adorable. I really like your shading here - differentiating Twilight's mane from her coat with lines alone is no easy trick. The perspective is also good even if the legs of the easel/chalkboard are a bit wonky.

This is really really good. You clearly put a lot of work and thought into it. You've impressed this old artists. Rock on.

Haha, yea, those legs are something that kind of looked right, but didn't look right at the same time. And because I was tired and not thinking, I didn't pull up a reference on Google Images on the computer I was sitting beside.

And thanks. Coming from an artist like you, those words mean a lot to an amateur like me.

Always happy to encourage younger artists. and don't worry, we're *all* amateurs. :3
