Description This is one of two wisteria kanzashi I've been commissioned. They're both going to different people, but I'm waiting to get my hands on some more string to finish the second one.

Thanks! Nope, didn't hand dye the fabric on this one. What I used was gradated fabric and just used the placement of the squares to get the fade to work.

I love how this piece isn't quite the traditional take on wisteria Kanzashi. It's very beautiful. You're ever so talented, and I love how nice you set up your work with the katsura propped onto a nice scarf ( like those miniture wigs you see now and again on ebay).

Thank you! Yeah, I was trying to come up with a way to make wysteria from the fabric I had at home and this was the method I was able to come up with. I basically had some fabric that faded from purple to pink so I just had to position the squares to get the gradation effect.
