Description
The chosen wolf.Kiba hardly ever questions his lot in life...but when he does, you can't help but feel sorry for him. Whenever his destiny is fulfilled and the earth is reborn, he'll have to start from the beginning again, travel that path again and lose everything he cared about again. And it'll never end. This is sort of my tribute to him, I guess. I drew him scarred because I thought it'd be better to show him battered and worn, but still standing tall. The flower would represent Cheza (durr), his other half and the happiness in his life that he has to leave behind. The red moon is the end he has to race for, and the eyes of Darcia are the conflict he must face, what will be responsible for taking away what makes him happy.
I don't know why I wrote a long description...since NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO READ THEM.
Anyway, this was done by hand and colored in photoshop. All coloring and shading was done with a mouse, so I'm sorry if it ain't perfect. Comments'd be appreciated on this one.

the ending kinda threw me .. i guess for a story of adversity teh whoel way you kidna expectied they get a break at the end. i wanted everyone to kidn abe reborn through chesas magic like a kinda last wish sorta thing but nope. everyoen just dies.. kidna makes you sad
i guess the matrix 2 and 3 are the same deal.. adversity throughout and no reward at teh end for teh main characters

This is breathtaking, it suits the theme of the show perfectly, in Kibas case. But it ended in such a way, how do you know he'd have to start over? They were all together there, when they werent during the show. Maybe its restarting for the better? *rambles* anyway, beautiful work

It might be restarting for the better, but I still think it's indicating that the world's death and rebirth cycle is gonna keep going. In the very end the reborn Kiba started running again after passing by the now human Tsume, Hige and Toboe, and the beginning song played again. That really made it seem like everything was starting over again, with a few changes. ::rambles also:: Thank you, by the way.

Wow, the coloring job on this is wonderful. Honestly. I wish I could get mine to look as nice!
And I love the symbolism. As an avid fan of Wolf's Rain I completely understand all of it and you did a great job portraying in your picture all that poor Kiba has to go through. He is my favorite character. Next to Blue that is ^^
My bf and I always say every episode . . . that poor Kiba, he always gets his arse handed to him, butt kicked, whatnot. . .and then he just comes on back and tears the enemy to smithereeens. ^^ Like in the episode where he's battling Jaggara's metal-clad troops to get through to Chezza. Gets all cut up and beat to heck but STILL defeats them.

Toboe's not dead yet...his little heart-wrenching death scene will be next week. I would like to make a good pic for him, but I need a good idea to come to me for one. And....I'd like to do a group pic sometime, but that's another one I'd need some inspiration for.

I think this is one of your best pictures yet, if not your best. Your coloring has gone a step further...you've obtained a sort of watercolor effect that really works.
THe composition is really great, as is the symbolism you skillfully pounded into the picture. Very attention-grabbing and intriguing.
