It's almost unsettling how much emotion excapes your pens (or brushes?). The snap, crackle and motion of the flames, knots in the wood popping, the hushed murmur of the people, the clinking of the woman's braclets and jewelry, the heat coming off of the pire. It's all there.

The composition is very heavy all-around...but it does drag your eye into it, especially the female figure on the right...and then you are forced to look at all the detail. It's such a grim scene...unsettling, really. But I think that's what you were going for. It seem so surreal as well with the way you've left some outlines incomplete and more gestural.
I simply have to know wether or not you use photo references when you draw. The forshortening and proportions on this are so well done!
