A really quick work of Rufy Scale from Istaria.Happy belated Birthday, ~Rufinator ! I'm so sorry it took so long, I was busy with a lot of things and was also overseas. I hope you still like this rushed little speedpaint ;u; I based her design on your revamped character reference sheet lol hope it's alright?

I do hope to do one of Latrans soon, it must be funny that even until now, I have no real picture of Latrans lol currently, I'm still very much troubled by his designs. I can't come to a satisfactory look for his body shape D: you have no idea how many sketches I did and scrapped due to my looking at it and going "...meh"

Maybe you should actually finish Latrans for once without making him perfect yet.
You cant perfectly draw someone anyway. There is always a detail that just wount fit. How about you do a char pic of Latrans as you do of your istarian friends?^^
Yousaid at nearly most of them that they arent the best you could do even thought everyone likes them.

Finish just one drawing. After this you can improve him in every way. But you needat least obe finished drawing for yourself as a base on which to build and improve.

Oh, I believe I might have given you the wrong idea^^" what I meant to say is, I can't decide his designs yet, not that I can't draw him satisfactorily. It's one thing to be able to picture something in your mind's eyes but not be able to put it on paper, but it's another thing altogether when you can't even picture it. It's like drawing a portrait of someone who you have never seen before. At least in your case, you know you want Wind to have scales like the moving sky, and heavy wings with scales. In my case, I don't even know what I want him to look like yet. I have a vague idea, but I can't make up my mind on certain aspects. There are some traits I want his body to have, I can't seem to choose between the options, and if I add both, it ends up looking too complicated and 'overdone'. So basically, I'm still in the stages of character design; it's not the problem of me being unsatisfied with the picture I draw, but the fact that I can't even settle on his design in the first place, so I don't know how to draw him.
As for that picture you saw me draw on join.me, the reason for scrapping it wasn't because I didn't like the picture, but because I didn't actually design him properly yet and only realized after I've already gotten that far. It was, sad to say, quite a waste of time X_x I should have experimented by sketching him out on rough paper to see how I like it, and only when I'm satisfied, do I put it in digital, not dive right into digital without knowing what I want.
