Hey! Those two Pokemon look familiar, don't they?I've never actually seen this scene in game. Whenever I played Blue Rescue team, I ended up losing the Surf (or was it Waterfall) HM, which locked me out of the post game. I know now that you can find the HM again in a different dungeon, but I never went and got it. I only know this scene exists thanks to the plot synopsis.

Boy do I have a story on this one. I forget the dungeon name, but the one where you have to rescue Latias, oh man was that difficult. It was floor 25, and I had no idea how much further I had to go. I’m COMPLETELY out of food, reviver seeds, healing items, ANYTHING even remotely useful. My partner is dead, (fainted) and I’m with, I can’t remember who. Articuno I believe, and we’re fighting 2 Aerodactyls that have us on the ropes, and they kept using Agility. So I abandon him and run for it, and then my belly goes empty. So I’m losing 1 hp every step, and I don’t have much left after the fight. Articuno dies, and fortunately they didn’t come after me, they went a different way because I disengaged with enough time that their AI didn’t track me. So I’m on the verge of death, and I walk into the room with the stairs. Losing health rapidly. 5, 4, 3, 2, on the stairs with 1 hp left. I hit proceed, and am greeted with the cutscene of rescuing Latias. I literally couldn’t have cut it closer.

Aww... I remember this scene as I played PMD Red alot.
I always loved the two Latis and it was a touching moment to see the two be reunited!

Now it makes sense why Charles seemed to know Hivolt and Clara so well.
These pictures of the pasts of the protagonists are so nice and really show alot behind the scenes that led up to Guardians of Hope.
