EDIT: When I originally drew this, I really didn't like Sailor Luna at all. I have no problem with her now though.
My friend was like "Why don't you just draw Human Luna and Sailor Luna fighting?"

Some things were kinda cool with the show, and it's great that Naoko Takeuchi herself designed a lot of the new costumes and stuff, but like, who cares?? It was so unnecessary.

Unnecessary or not it was actually very good as far as plot and storyline. I like to think that it was also a way to pay homage to the original Sailor Moon and continue it's long lasting legacy. 😊

It's always good when the original creators still have a hand. Hell, the original Turtles creators are still around even though, unlike Naoko Takeuchi, they sold the rights away. They designed new characters for the IDW comics, and Kevin Eastman was a pizza delivery guy in BayTurtles and in the 2012 toon, the voice of... ICE CREAM KITTY! Which is totally not the stray cat April brought down in to the lair.

Sailor Luna is cute, but it was a desperate measure for PGSM for ratings. I would have loved to see her in the manga, and Naoko even talked about it in her notes to the audience. I miss Naoko's notes...

Sailor Luna is super cute; I'm confused now as to why I loathed her so much before, but she is just a Chibiusa replacement, after all. I loved seeing the designs by Takeuchi; it's so wonderful that she gets involved with the side projects like that ; v ;

I had the same reaction! I think it was because how poorly they pulled off PGSM... They jumped the shark. If they needed a kid tye in, they should have just gone ahead with black moon arch. Mish-mash style.

Not to hate on her child counterpart but I always preferred Luna as an adult. It just matches her voice and over all mature and somewhat motherly persona. I always found it kinda weird that the plush toy Luna in the live action series had a more adult voice, yet her sailor form is basically Rini (Chibiusa) if she had Luna's personality and kept the childish attitude.
I always figured they knew they weren't going to touch Chibi Moon's arch so they made her a kid sailor just to be the Chibiusa of the show. Anyway this is nice and I love how you did Adult Luna's hair. Loved how her hair was so long and flowy! X3
