I've just fallen in love with this style so thank God there are people who can show it in their own gorgeous way. I know I give you so many compliments but I can't stop myself from doing this.

I'm no stylistic critic of drawings or even digital paintings, but I can say that the grunge background added a modern element that transformed this otherwise classic character.
