Kirinki is Kvitter's mother. Her life really didn't turn out the best and she dies (due to internal damages after a rat bite) shortly after weaning Kvitter.For those interested her story can be read here KIRINKI
Used acrylics for the blackest parts rest is watercolor.

Also I'm not really overjoyed over that my own characters and the art from The Jellicle Chronicles is being renamed and used for RPG's. My characters are after all mine. And the art for TJC are made specially for those stories. Please respect that.)

She's exactly what antro should be like, not to human, and just the right amount of cat... Those ears just clinch it. She's one well drawn cat-girl.

Your grasp of anatomy, composition, colour, and shading are superb. I see this one as very beautiful, it is such a shame she dies, one so young and pretty. But she does live on in her daughter, so a part of her still lives. I favourite this one because I believe she should be in heaven, she is a feline angel!

Sometimes you get curious and peek around through other peoples' art just to see if you can make something flow from your pencil, but you get tricked. Blindsided by a thoroughly beautiful piece that seems to show perfectly what you think and or feel at the moment.
This piece did that to me. I recently lost my father and my grandmother, within two weeks of each other and I'm still trying to get my stuff together. Thank you for this beautiful piece. I love it and it has been +faved.

This is really amazing.
I love how the shadows are so black, and the background is so gray and dark. It adds to the despair of the picture. I really like the way her head is positioned, her body language just speaks "bleak" to me. :3
I do have a little bit of criticism, though--the shadows to her left (viewer's right) are so dark, yet the orange of her paws is only a few shades darker than where the sun hits her right side (viewer's left). I think that could use a little adjustment, if you ever wanted to refine this further. I also think her fur is incredibly clean and white compared to the nasty, gritty feeling i get from the background.
Other than that little bit, I think this is awesome. Very nice work.

Yeah, I know about the paws, it's rather the scanners fault really, it decided not to cooperate with me(it got a little to blurry as well). It looks better IRL. I may try to do something about it tho, maybe another bluebrown wash so the difference gets clearer.
And the white fur (of what you can see) reflecting the light against that background was kinda what I was going for. The left side of her body may be another story tho...

i saw this in TJC and i'm amazed, you've portrayed her saddness so well. Looking at the pictures of Kvitter's mother i'm curious as to what her father looks like, is it in one of the lost stories? (i'm getting around to reading them all but school takes up a lot of my time)

Kvitter's (and Grym and Max's) father was a lower rank enforcer, so think big and black.
