Description The G36 is a German 5.56mm assault rifle, designed in the early 1990s by Heckler & Koch (H&K) and accepted into service with the Bundeswehr in 1997, replacing the 7.62mm G3 battle rifle.

-- Wikipedia

Modelled from scrap, I also did 3 changed handguards, barrels, grenade launcher (seen on render), 2 magazines, 3 different upper grips, 2 colimators and... and front rails with addition front grip.

I'll upload full 'Making of' soon, with description of materials and rendering scene.

Hope you like it.

P.S. Better not to know how MUCH triangles in it. )

And there's WIP of russian . Sorry, there's no material settings and no texture examples. I'll upload them later, just not enough time.

very good rendering - looks almost like a photo! although the amount of chromatic aberration is excessive

Thanks a lot.
About aberration: just tested DOF-pro plugin for Photoshop. Can't stand to make it really HUGE!

That model is so ridicously so detailled I'd bet all my money is a real life photo.

'Though I guess that I'd loose it.

This is really awesome looking.

i like the way the some of the edges look worn. it gives it a more realistic look.

in what app did you make it?

Thanks
Made in 3dsMAX, edges made with VRayDirt. There's a lot of procedural maps.
