Watercolor painting on most crappy paper I ever had.
I bought it because it should be special watercolor paper for dyi postcards. Paper accept water and pigment in really bad way (in comparision to any other paper I have). Individual fibers accept pigment really willingly and some of them just don't. Is a nightmare to control the stain. There is also absolutely no way to make corrections, paper simply tears when you add more water. Best way is to paint with dry brush ;o.Β After 4 attempts I created something that i can accept.
Also there is no "postcard" inprint on one of the sides. I'm really dissappointed.
But I like the size. And seems that I like to struggle... like every DS player ;D.

the particular texture is veryΒ much like cheap old canson student watercolor paper- and handling you described fits perfectly, so I feel your pain!Β The results of the struggle makes it that much more impressive, great work!

Oh, if it's even worse kind of paper and you managed to create this, your skills have my undying awe and wonder! D: It sounds weird, though, about paper looking different... Something quite similar happened with my one and only moleskine: most paper had invisible blotches that would uncover once paint was put on them: they would repel the paint and water! I contacted the manufacturer, shown them the pictures of the issue and they just said something along "thanks for letting us know, we'll tell appropriate department". They said they are sorry for my experience but it was wrote in a weird way that stuck with me: in no way it way implied that their paper is faulty! Quite a mellow response for how raving reviews their customer service gets.

Haha, yeah, it's very expensive here as well- I felt really bad buying such thing for myself, it was a huge occasion and a big splurge for me!Β Too bad it ended the way it did.
