Description
For my first in a while, I thought I'd do a prize art I promised. And they requested Deidara!
It was done in spurts, so I'm not sure how long it took.
I used the usual materials plus a .05 mech-pencil.
So, I hope you like it!
I'm planning on doing some One Piece as well as a fairly big project in the near future. But I'm debating when to fit in some realistics from FF or something. Meh, I guess that'll depend on what I feel like at the time.
Any constructive criticism or positive feedback is most certainly always welcome!

Yeah, I like Zabuza AND Itachi.
Well, in fighting games it usually goes:
Itachi, Gaara, and Kakashi.
But as far as the anime goes, it's gotta be:
Shikamaru, Gaara, and Hinata.
Now, that changes depending on my mood, cuz I don't usually like to number favorite peoples!

I'm really good with everybody. It's very rare when I'm NOT super awesome at video games. But in Naruto Shippuden Clash Of Ninja Revolution 3, my ABSOLUTE BEST, who no one could beat, even online, was Hiruko.
Now, in Ultimate Ninja 3, I just couldn't lose period!

HA, you're just like my brother, He'd go like 38 wins and 1 lose against me, and then only because he didn't try.
And thats why I don't play fighting games with him anymore.
I haven't played any of the new games, the last would have been the ones for the PS2.

I've just been playing video games for way too long!
Although, I have found this one kid. He's only 12 years old and yet he's just as good as I am at most fighting games! He practically breathes video games, so everyone just accepts him as a kind of force. But he's an awesome rival! I always look forward to playing him!

Well that stinks!
At the house, I've only got my little brother. But he doesn't usually like fighting games. He's not very good at them and yet he's a real sore loser. That's not the best combo. He usually just ends up getting in a bad mood and doing stupid stuff like turning the system off.
At the same time, he hates it when I go too easy on him. It's a lose-lose situation for me!

I can understand that.
My "rival" friend does that. When he feels like I swept him away or caught him off guard, he exits to character select saying "This is some bull!"
But last time we played, I just couldn't beat him! I'd go to get a good hit and I'd be off by just a second! I kept losing while he only has a spec of HP left!
He's one of those people you can't be careless around, even for an instant! If you do, he WILL get the drop on you and BAM! You lose! He says it's the same way with me, but I don't think so.
He likes to just go crazy! And most people are vulnerable at that point, but you can't hit him!
That's exactly WHY I can't beat him, though. With most people, I can analyze them, strike, and completely annihilate them before they realize what happened. There are even some people who I just play around with. With Itachi (ultimate ninja 3), I'll let them get as close as they want without moving a muscle, and then, right when they get on me, Bam!
But with my friend, he doesn't have a visible weakness. Besides, I never have time to analyze him. As soon as the match starts, he just starts an endless onslaught that only yields when you see "Battle Over!", lol!
Anyway, sorry for the long message!

Really? I don't really know if I've done too many with folds like this, but I don't recall having too much trouble in this instance. But everyone has different obstacles in drawing, I guess. I personally have ALWAYS had a lot of trouble with the face.
But either way, I always appreciate a specification in positive feedback!

4 me, wen it comes 2 the face, its easy as long as its not str8 on, cus then the nose is always awkrd n u can never get the eyes exactly simetrical

YES! You are the first person to agree that profiles are easier than straight-ons because of having to get them exactly symetrical!

Yeah, I tend to agree. Although, I find that straight-ons where the eyes are positioned different are easier, as well. Just so long as it doesn't depend on symmetry. Like when they have one eyebrow up. Like maybe a confused look.

It's been a while since you've uploaded anything but when you finally did, I instantly recognized that this piece is yours - you have a very specific style to be proud of. I think that your anime drawings are already almost perfect, I mean the shading here is just freakin awesome, the "flow" of the robe fits the anime style and just by looking at his eye, you can instantly recognize his usual facial expression that you did manage to achieve. Also, I think that you should draw One Piece characters with some realistic elements from FF, you can certainly do it. You are able to experiment more with realism, just try it

Yeah, I know it's been a while since I've uploaded anything, but as I said in my journal, that ends with this one!
And although I plan on doing some One Piece next, I'm only gonna try and attempt MAYBE 1 or 2 realisms with it.
I'm thinking that Luffy will be the easiest for me. But looking at your work is what is giving me a good idea as to what realistic needs.
Otherwise, I'd have no idea what to do to transform anime into semi-real!
So I can definitely say that I'M benefiting from YOUR skyrocket in drawing, lol!
It's just stepping outside of my comfort zone and into the "experimentive realism" zone that needs doing.

Meh, how accurate and precise art is depends on the time you're willing to put into it. I was told by that very same art teacher ALL THE TIME "art is 99% mental and 1% physical, which it really is!
