Great image, really dig that photographic blur effect on the snow - you're amazing with depth of field, probably the best artist in that regard. Great painting as well, really enjoy the composition and the way you designed the two central figures. Good job!

that's probably one of the best compliments I could possibly get.
To be honest sometimes I am feeling extremely frustrated about all the time I spent on something and then see how much hype an artwork gets which is so clearly an overpaint or a puzzled together painting that I makes me want to hit the wall with my wacom >_<

i know what you mean! i've gone really angry about that several times too, even before i've started to paint. and i do even more now that i really know how much effort and time -i'm still a very beginner and it takes me 20 hours and more to finish a simple portrait- it really takes to finish a piece ...
