Description I did this for the Homestuck album track art contest: [link]

I also did it because I haven't done any big stuff in a while, and I needed a challenge. I'm still figuring out proportions and lighting, especially.

As for why I picked Roxy... She's an interesting character. There's a lot to her. She loves wizards and videogames. She's got family issues and a drinking problem (likely caused by said family issues). Sure, there's the same "Hussiean" symbolism Roxy and all the other characters represent as pieces in a huge puzzle, but her character feels believable, and I guess I'm drawn to that. Same reason I'm drawn to Vriska, or Tavros.

Wow! This looks fantastics! I really love the texture on the hair. The shading overall is marvelous but on the hands... it is exquisite! good job!

yeah the sollux one took me super long, and kanaya was really fun

One thing's for certain: our eyes and ears will soon be indulged with some pretty incredible art and music. For example, I heard this entry a while back and and it didn't get picked (hence he's put it up for download). [link]

that one wasn't an entry to the contest, but it's a sort of remix i guess of the one he did enter (which i also like, though not sure if he won or not? we'll see.)

that's probably one of my favorite things about homestuck- i look up to all the talented people it brings together (including mr hussie himself of course)
